Cruise loadout for Dorman leg ( Pto. Caldera-San Diego)

We expect to depart Puerto Caldera with one 20-foot container of
support equipment weighing about 8500 lbs. The first event of this
cruise will be to recover 14 Ocean-Bottom Seismometers off the Nicoya
Peninsula, Costa Rica. This will require about a day? (more precise
number to follow). This will increase the deck load by about 17,000
lbs, to total 25,250 lbs. The footprint of these instruments is about 1x2
meters each. We will use a ~12khz hull transducer for
acoustics.

We will then start toward San Diego, carrying out as much SEBEAM
surveying as as we can get clearance for. We are especially interested
on the area off Mexico, and will probably have a Mexican observer.
